Normally when you’ve got industrial design students going wild on computer concepts, you get a lot of wild, unrealistic computer concepts. There’s plenty of that here, but this 10 week collaboration between Freescale, some of its top partners, and Savannah College of Art and Design students is yielding a bit of fruit. We particularly like this docking tablet that can slot into different docks depending on use case — the two primary ones shown being a home entertainment Read the rest of this entry »

The open-source Pandora handheld has had a long and arduous time to market, but the days of delay are apparently at an end. You gaze upon the very first Pandora off the assembly line — the fruit of over two years labor — and project leaders are presently shipping out the rest of the first completed batch, with scores if not hundreds already on the way. This is just a rumor at this point, but it’s definitely one we’d file in the believable column. According to NewGadgets.de, HP’s planning to update its 12.1-inch tm2 convertible tablet with Core i3 and i5 processors in June. Considering we’ve heard that Intel will be releasing its Core i5 ULV processors around then, this certainly makes sense — after all, we’d expect HP to swap out the current Core 2 Duo ULV processors for something more powerful, Read the rest of this entry »

Gateway will update its NV notebook series this Friday, April, 23. NV lineup will now have two more Intel Core i-powered machines, but both new models (NV59C-H34E and NV59C-H54E) also feature Intel integrated graphics. So to say the least, update has its aim at business public because sans graphics latest NV’s specs don’t say too much about economy. Read the rest of this entry »
