The dazzling electric violinist Linzi Stoppard has mixed together an intoxicating form of electric violin with the glitz of Swarovski crystals to bring out the world’s most expensive electric violins. With a price tag of £1million, each bespoke Bridge electric violin is encrusted with 50,000 Swarovski crystals. These functional pieces of art will be on display at Harrods until June 2 at the top of the fourth floor Egyptian Escalators.

Designed by Dragan Trencevski, the eRoll e-book reader is contained in a tube from which the OLED paper-thin screen is pulled out from. The gadget features navigation buttons on the right side of the screen, which can be controlled using your thumb. Sadly, it is only a concept so far. [Yanko]

Looks like Sony will be dishing out a new software update to Dash owners shortly. The first over-the-air update for Sony’s Personal Internet Viewer is expected to arrive at the end of the month carrying a number of usability and feature enhancements according to a Sony email sent to Dash owners. These include MP3 playback and picture viewing off USB, a full-screen app theme, and enhanced alarm functionality like adjustable snooze duration and one-touch alarm dismissal. The video recorder comes jam packed with a 3.5-inch touchscreen display, a 64GB of SSD (Solid State Drive), a 10MP 1/2.33-inch BSI CMOS Sensor and a Full 1920 X 1080/60i HD video recording. There are some devices that are universally loved or reviled — I don’t know anyone who doesn’t think HTC EVO 4G is awesome, or anyone who doesn’t think the WikiReader was awful.
