Besides having its new 8x external Blu-ray writer ‘BRD-UH8LE‘ that we mentioned yesterday, I-O Data has also introduced its latest 8x external DVD drive called the DVDP-U8S. Measuring 137mm x 154mm x 20mm and weighing 340 grams, this slim drive features a USB 2.0 interface (mini USB connector) and is capable of reading DVDs at speeds of up to 8x and CDs at 24x. The DVDP-U8S will hit Japan later this month for 7,900 Yen (about $88).
